Heartland’s Elkridge Fiver Intros ‘EuroLoft’ Bed Lift

Heartland RV’s upscale Elkridge fifth-wheel is debuting the smooth-gliding, suspended EuroLoft bed lift system during this week’s Elkhart RV Open House.
According to a press release, the bed lift, manufactured by Lippert Components Inc.’s Project 2000 division in Florence, Italy, capitalizes on the unused air space above the jackknife sofa in the rear slideout.
In the stored position, the extra bunk is tucked out of the way against the ceiling, but when deployed, the EuroLoft offers another comfortable sleeping space for RV owners. The EuroLoft’s quick and quiet action takes only five seconds to drop into position and is immediately ready to use.
“The EuroLoft bunk option adds an all new element to the Elkridge, allowing one more family member to sleep comfortably with minimal effort,” said Joel Eberlein, senior general manager of the Elkridge product line at Heartland. “We’re excited to be the first towable platform to offer this product, which until now has been used exclusively by motorized RV manufacturers.”
“The EuroLoft bed lift has been an attractive feature in the motorized market for years and has had a remarkably smooth launch into the U.S. market after nearly a decade in Europe and other parts of the world,” says Marty McManus, sales director and product manager for the Italian bed lift system. “It’s a logical progression to move the EuroLoft into the towable arena now that customers have become familiar with the product.”
The EuroLoft is on display at Heartland’s exhibit space inside the Thor Industries Inc. display located at the RV/MH Hall of Fame.
