Club FAQ

Q: What is the Heartland Owners Club? Who is eligible to join?

A: The Heartland Owners Club is a free club open to anyone who owns a Heartland RV branded fifth wheel, toy hauler or travel trailer. It is a group of proud Heartland RV owners who enjoy living the RV lifestyle and the sense of community that comes from encountering other Heartland owners anywhere your journey takes you. Owners come together and make the most out of their RV experience by social connections made through attending chapter rallies and camp-outs at great destinations, receiving discounts on after-market parts and products, renewing old acquaintances, making new friends and creating a lifetime of lasting memories together. Completion of an Owners Club membership application is required.

Q: Is there a membership fee to become a member of the Heartland Owners Club or a fee to maintain active membership?

A: There is no fee to join the Heartland Owners Club or to maintain an active membership.

Q: Do I receive any benefits or discounts being a Heartland Owners Club member?

A: As part of the Heartland Owners Club, we are continuously creating partnerships with companies for after-market products. These partnerships include a variety of discounts including a 10% discount off of parts ordered directly from Heartland RV.

Q: I’m not sure joining the Heartland Owners Club is right for me/my family. What is the value of joining the Club?

A. Everyone has a different reason for joining the Club. Some join for the available discounts. Some join for the camaraderie of belonging to a group of people who have common interests. Some join so they can receive information on Heartland events emailed directly to them. Some join to meet others with similar RVs to compare notes and trade ideas. Some join to make new friends from all across the United States and Canada.

Q: What about my name and contact information?  How is that used? Do you sell or rent it?

A: We do not sell or rent your information. Your information is used internally by Heartland RV and the Heartland Owners Club.

Q: Where do I enter my spouse’s name? What is a Co-Owner?

A: Membership in the Heartland Owners Club is tied to the ownership of a single recreational vehicle. So all the people who own a particular coach are under the same Club membership. To simplify, the term used for these additional people is Co-Owner. In the membership application, there is the capability of adding up to 3 people as co-owners. This includes any adults who travel with you or might use the coach instead of you, e.g. spouse, partner, someone who bought the trailer with you, etc.

Q: Which Heartland Owners Club Chapter should I choose?

A: To facilitate the scheduling of various Heartland Owners Club events, the Club has multiple chapters. These chapters are usually defined by state or provincial boundaries although some states/provinces may have multiple chapters. Members pick the chapter that makes the most sense to them. You could pick the chapter in which you reside, or the chapter in which you spend the bulk of the rally season, or there may be another reason. It makes no difference; the choice is yours.

Q: I’ve registered to become a Heartland Owners Club member. Where can I find my member number?

A: A confirmation email including your assigned member number, also known as HOC ID, is immediately sent upon the successful completion of the Membership Application to the email address you provided. If you do not have that email, go to https://admin.heartlandowners.club, enter your email address and password, and click on Login. Your profile is displayed on the screen and your member number/HOC ID is part of your profile information.

Q: How do I manage my member account?

A. Go to https://admin.heartlandowners.club, enter your email address and password, and click on Login. Your profile is displayed on the screen. If you wish to add or change any of the Basic Detail or your Contact information, go to the Update buttons at the bottom of the display. If you wish to add or change any Co-Owner information go to Co-Owners. Be sure to save any information changed before leaving the selected page.

Q: I forgot my password. What should I do?

A. Go to https://admin.heartlandowners.club, click on Forgot Password. Another screen comes up and you enter your email address and click on submit. The email address you enter has to be the email address you used for your club membership. An email with a link to set your password will be sent to you in a minute or two. If you don’t see it, check your spam. If it’s not there, try again. The process does work.

Q: I forgot which email address I used to register for the Heartland Owners Club. What should I do?

A real person will respond to your email as soon as they are available.

Q: What are the guidelines to follow when planning a rally/event?

A. Guidelines vary depending on the event planned.

Rallies are events where the goal is to attract as many attendees as possible. Attendees pay for their own camping. Rally costs are covered through a combination of Heartland funding, fees charged to attendees, attendee pay-their-own way, etc. Find a campground that is rally-friendly, reasonable in price, easily accessible from a major highway, in a location or be a destination campground that affords multiple activities, and has a clubhouse for group activities. Contact the campground and work out some potential dates. Ask them to hold the dates for you. Plan a rough agenda. Determine if any additional fees are required. Contact Heartland RV Marketing for approval. Confirm dates with the campground. Post dates on the Heartland Owners Forum. Plan your agenda in detail. Request assistance from other Club Members on the Forum. Post to Forum and Heartland Owners Club Facebook frequently. Keep track of numbers of attendees. Make purchases as needed.

Campouts are usually casual affairs including camping and shared meals, such as pot-lucks, etc.. Each attendee pays for their own camping, meals and activity costs. The Event Host would pick a venue and dates. Contact Heartland RV for approval. Post on the Heartland Owners Forum.

Meet-and Greets are usually a meal in a restaurant or location where everyone pays their own way. The Event Host would pick a venue, a time and a day. Contact Heartland RV for approval. Post on the Heartland Owners Forum.

Q: I’m planning a rally for my chapter. What is the approval process and who do I need to submit rally dates to?

A. Once you have your dates and location established, email marketing@heartlandrvs.com for approval. Confirm the dates with the campground only after you have approval from Heartland RV.

Q: Does Heartland RV provide any monetary support for a rally?

A: Each year, Heartland RV will provide a total of $500 to each chapter to be used to host a rally. This money is used to cover the cost of rally expenses for the group. This money is not used to benefit any individual, e.g. pay for camping or travel expenses of the Event Host. At the end of the year, if there are any funds leftover, Heartland RV will add to the remaining balance so that the chapter(s) will always begin the year with $500.

Q: What additional support does Heartland RV provide to support upcoming rallies?

A: Heartland RV will provide the following in order to support upcoming rallies:

  • Rally dates included in the upcoming Heartland Owners Club Newsletter
  • Rally dates added to the Heartland Owners Club Group Facebook page
  • Promotional graphic that can be used for flyers, decals, t-shirts, etc. at the expense of the Event Host/chapter
  • Two items that can be used for door prizes, raffles, give-aways, etc.

Q: Where can I buy Heartland RV apparel?

Q: Who are the Heartland Brand Ambassadors? What is their role and how can I meet them?

A: Heartland Brand Ambassadors, also known as Social Media Influencers, are Heartland RV owners who have a large social media presence across multiple platforms. Our Heartland Brand Ambassadors are content creators who use their social media channels, YouTube channels, blogs and other creative outlets to share their perspective on the RV lifestyle and their experience as a Heartland RV owner.

Q: How are Brand Ambassadors chosen? Can anyone be a Brand Ambassador?

A: Brand Ambassadors are chosen at the discretion of Heartland RV. Each Brand Ambassador partnership is unique and formed around the owner’s niche as it relates to the RV lifestyle and the types of content they create. Anyone can apply to be a Heartland Brand Ambassador; however, having a large social media presence and ability to keep up with social media trends and new platforms is preferred.
