Heartland Gives Back

2017 North American Heartland Owners Rally – Goshen

Heartland Gives Back

Hello Heartlanders,

The Heartland Gives Back Initiative (HGBi) is an initiative by the Heartland Owners Club to “give back” to the communities we rally in.  For each national rally, we choose one or more organizations as our HGBi beneficiaries.

This year’s Heartland Gives Back Initiative (HGBi) gives us two very special opportunities for giving back to the Elkhart County community we’ll be rallying in. The programs we’ve developed for these opportunities are Heartland Baby Blessings (HBB) and Heartland Hats and Hugs (HHH).

HGBi PROGRAMS

Heartland Baby Blessings (HBB)
HOC members can put their love and talents into sewing, knitting, crocheting or purchasing baby items to give to community families in need through the Elkhart County Extension Homemakers.

Heartland Hats & Hugs (HHH)
The second opportunity for giving back is for adult cancer patients at the Goshen Center for Cancer Care with handmade or store-bought chemo caps and shawls. Monetary donations are welcome.

TURN IN EVENT

  • Friday, June 16, 12:30 PM – Donors Luncheon and Presentation (Ag Hall)
RSVP required – email invitations will be sent
  • Donors can turn in their HBB and HHH donations, have lunch and social time, and meet the Elkhart County Extension Director and the Cancer Care Center Survivor Network Coordinator

2016 Heartland Gives Back!

2016 North American Heartland Owners Rally – Las Vegas

Hey Heartlanders,

This year’s Heartland Gives Back initiative (HGBi) will beneficiary will be Soldier’s Best Friend (SBF). SBF provides U.S. military veterans living with combat-related Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) with Service or Therapeutic Companion Dogs, most of which are rescued from local shelters. The veteran and dog train together to build a trusting relationship that saves two lives at once and inspires countless others.

It costs about $4,000 to train an animal to be put into the service of a veteran.

I’m throwing out this challenge to all Heartlanders in attendance…

We’re going to raise enough money to FULLY SPONSOR an animal to the benefit of a U.S. veteran. Are you with me? We can do this. If every rig gave just $30, we’d hit our target. Let’s do this Heartlanders!

Learn more about Soldier’s Best Friend here at this link.

2016 Rally Credentials (badges)

2016 North American Heartland Owners Rally – Las Vegas

A word about your Rally Credentials… Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort is very large and is open to the public. Most of our rally activities will be held at Oasis. In order to ensure that our rally events remain private, we ask that each registered rally attendee wear their rally credentials to all rally activities held at Oasis.

Rally credentials consist or a color printed plastic badge and a black lanyard. They’re made to be worn around your neck and with the badge in front. A rally credential has been included in your rally bag, one for each registered rally attendee. Below is an image of the badge.

Thursday evening is a night off-campus for registered attendees. We’ll all be at the M Resort-Spa-Casino for dinner and entertainment. Here again, this venue is open to the public. So that we don’t have the public getting mixed in with our group in areas we’ve rented space for and for events we’ve paid for, please wear your rally credentials. Thank you for understanding.

2016 Heartland Marketplace

2016 North American Heartland Owners Rally – Las Vegas

The Heartland Marketplace is taking shape.  Every venue is different in terms of their space offerings for rallies. Oasis has a small meeting room (Hollywood Room) that we will be using as our Heartland Marketplace. Please patronize our vendors each day and sit in on the few seminars and presentations they’ll be doing in the rally hall (Ballroom).
